2014 Alfa Romeo 4C: One Sweet and Overdue Sports Car

2014 Alfa Romeo 4C

When many think of Alfa Romeo they can only think of the quality and speed associated with the name in a nostalgic manner.  Unless an owner was willing to have one shipped to the states they were not likely to ever see one or have one on the roads in the U. S. which is a great tragedy considering the great expanse of driving pleasure offered in the U.S.

The long wait for an Alfa Romeo for the U.S. is over and the 4C is an absolute delight.  A gorgeous sports car with obvious Italian stylings, the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C is long overdue.  Here to please the crowd of high end sports car lovers who just aren’t turned on by the American Muscle offered here, the Alfa Romeo 4C is an excellent choice.

Showing off with a sculpted design that brings back thoughts of the Alfa Romeos of yesteryear as much as new and ingenious design set to please anyone who sees this beauty pass by, the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C is a super car inspired two seater aimed at exciting the masses with speed, agility, and design.  Coming in under 2000 pounds, the Alfa Romeo is actually designed without a power steering system, not something that is common anymore when every car on the road comes equipped with power steering, but the low weight allows the car to handle nicely without the extra weight of this system.

The low weight of this awesome sports car is a huge advantage for all systems including the engine.  All that is needed to power this quick and sleek beauty is a four-cylinder engine which sounds boring except for the fact this four-banger is turbocharged to offer 240 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque paired with a six-speed TTC dual-clutch transmission equipped with a launch control function.  While all this doesn’t sound really impressive, some sedans offer more horsepower and torque than the Alfa Romeo 4C, keeping in mind how light the car is, the zero to sixty time comes in around 4.5 seconds and the 4C can reach up to 155 mph very easily.

The list of standard features for the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C includes grey brake calipers, LED tail lamps, a leather wrapped height adjustable steering wheel, shift paddles, sport seats, aluminum pedals, central locks, and electric mirrors; not too shabby for a two-seater sports car that kept a low weight in mind throughout the design process.

As for optional features, the list includes painted calipers, parking sensors, a body-colored spoiler, LED headlights, a race exhaust system, cruise control and heated mirrors.  With all these addition the already sweet ride of the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C just gets better and better, add in the Air Conditioning at no additional cost and the ride can be just as long as it is fun.

Playing in the same class as such greats the U.S. population has come to know as the Chevrolet Corvette and Porsche Cayman, the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C has a strictly limited production creating a greater demand than there is supply for this awesome sports car that brings back the fun of yesteryear with a name that has long been synonymous with quality, speed, agility, and style.
