I am glad to see that governments are holding companies accountable for the products they make. It is sad that the companies themselves do not care enough for children to do this on their own. With weight problems rising at an alarming rate it is also important that people look for toys that get their children off the couch out of the house and out to play.

As parents it is our job to keep our kids healthy we do want toys that are made of safe products but also that keep our children active.

Being a lover of kids, I was always concerned about the toxic chemicals associated with toys. It is very nice to see that such steps regarding children toys are beinf taken!

Some of the toys on the market are so dumb for children, like the fake food.

It is disturbing to know that there are so many harmful chemicals int he toys that our children are exposed to unknowingly , unless we educate ourselves about it. It is good to see that there is some action being taken to make toys safer for our kids and the environment.

As aparent of a 5 year old I think it is a good idea to make toys less harmful to our children. I did read somewhere else there may soon be a ban on selling used childrens toys because of all the recalled toys that flood the markets at eBay, flea markets, yard sales etc.

What will be the kicker is how they will actually police this, eBay may be easier than the others by simply banning those categories in question. But how will they stop the yard sales, flea markets and craigslist sales without forming a new "Toy Police".

Whatever measure they introduce will surely be a welcome addition, you cant put a price on our childrens safety.

As a parent I am very concerned about chemicals that are in the plastics of toys that my children use. After watching this documentary

On how these harmful chemicals are affecting our boys.
